Biography of Beatrice Chebet: Gold Medal Winner at 2023 World Cross Country Women Senior Race.

 One of the highlights of the World Championships in Eugene was the emergence of B. Chebet as the new senior women’s race gold medallist which she won in a dramatic fashion after Litesenbet Gidey; the competition’s favorite fell, just a few meters away from the finished line.


Gidey who was a reigning 10,000m world champion had assistance from a supporter who came to her aid to help her up but this, in turn, led to her disqualification.
