He is a well-known Nigerian journalist who doubles as the MD of a radio station in Ibadan called Agidigbo 88.7 FM.

He recently got into the news after he was arrested in connection with a complaint filed by Mr. Rahmon Adedoyin who is the chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort group company and is currently standing trial alongside 6 of his employees over the alleged murder of one Mr. Timothy Adegoke who until death was a Postgraduate scholar at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife Ibadan. Mr. Timothy was said to have taken his last breath in the cozy room 305 of Hilton Hotel and Resort.

Adedoyin has filed a petition to the office of DIGP (Deputy Inspector of Police) making allegations of false alarm, provocation, defamation, and unlawful interference with police operations and court proceedings.

Hamzat was taken into custody by officers of the Federal Intelligence Bureau of NPF (Nigeria Police Force) believed to be connected to Adegoke’s death and the circumstances surrounding it which he has been working tirelessly to unravel.
